Specially cultivated rice is rice produced in accordance with the "Guidelines for Labeling Specially Grown Agricultural Products" established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 2001, and is produced using more than 50% less nitrogen from synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers than conventional levels. The rice varieties we grow are "Yumepirika" and "Nanatsuboshi," which are specially cultivated rice.
